Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By creating an account or using Lisibl, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. The Service

Lisibl is a private application that brings together photos, videos, voice memos, notes, dates and places to create stories on an interactive map. You can create maps for a child's early years, a family, a trip, friends, a pet or another personal story.

3. Subscription Plans & Pricing

• Lisibl offers three base subscription tiers: Seedling (€5.99/month), Growing (€9.99/month), and Heirloom (€15.99/month).
• Annual plans are offered at approximately 20% less than twelve monthly payments at the base monthly price.
• Amounts displayed outside the euro area may be converted into a supported local currency; the final price is shown before payment confirmation.
• New web subscriptions include a 30-day free trial unless otherwise stated at purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until canceled.

4. Lifetime Offers

Lisibl may offer limited lifetime passes, including Founding Family and Founding Legacy. These are one-time purchases granting non-expiring access to the base features and capacities stated at the time of purchase. Optional extras such as additional storage may be billed separately.

5. Gifts

Lisibl gifts are one-time purchases corresponding to the lifetime offer selected for the recipient. The giver may personalize the gift and choose available delivery options. The applicable features and capacities are those shown before payment and at activation.

6. Cancellation & Refunds

• A Stripe subscription can be canceled from Lisibl settings or the account management portal. Apple App Store and Google Play subscriptions must be managed in the applicable Store.
• Unless applicable law or the purchase terms require otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid billing period and access remains available until then.
• Lisibl does not promise automatic partial refunds for a billing period already in progress. Requests are assessed according to the purchase channel, applicable law and transaction circumstances.
• If you cancel a free trial before it ends, the first web subscription charge is not made.

7. Free Trial

• New web subscriptions may include a 30-day free trial.
• You can cancel during the trial before the first charge.
• When the trial ends, the selected subscription begins billing automatically at the price and frequency confirmed at sign-up unless canceled first.

8. Plan Features & Limits

Each plan may include specific limits on storage, photos or videos added during a period, media duration, viewer and contributor slots, co-parent access, AI features and exports. Current limits are displayed on the Pricing page and in the app. Lisibl may adjust limits with reasonable notice where required.

9. Private Sharing & Collaboration

• You may invite trusted people as viewers or contributors according to the available roles and your plan limits.
• For a child map, parent, co-parent, guardian or authorized-adult roles remain subject to Lisibl's access rules.
• You control the access you grant and can change or revoke it using the available controls.
• Some features may create temporary or targeted shares of selected memories with people who are not permanent members of a map.

10. License & Acceptable Use

Lisibl grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for personal and private collaborative purposes. You agree not to:

• attempt to extract or misuse source code contrary to applicable law;
• use the service to store or distribute illegal, abusive content or content that infringes another person's rights;
• resell or redistribute account access outside the mechanisms provided by Lisibl;
• use unauthorized automated means to access or disrupt the service.

11. Content Ownership

• You retain ownership of content you upload or create in Lisibl.
• You grant Lisibl a limited license to store, process, transform and display that content only as necessary to provide the service and perform actions you request.
• Lisibl does not claim ownership of your memories and does not use them for targeted advertising or to train its own AI models.

12. Export & Portability

Lisibl provides mechanisms to export memory data. The exact format and contents of exports may evolve; available functions are shown in the app. You may also exercise any legal data portability rights that apply to you.

13. Account Deletion & Suspension

• You can request account deletion from Lisibl settings or by following the procedure published on our account-deletion page.
• On deletion, active account data and personal content are deleted or otherwise handled according to our Privacy Policy. Records required for fraud prevention, disputes or accounting may be retained or anonymized for the legally necessary period.
• Deleting a Lisibl account does not by itself cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription; Store billing must be stopped in the applicable Store.
• Lisibl may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms or when necessary to protect the service and its users.

14. Availability & Liability

Lisibl is designed to preserve important data, but no online service can guarantee absolute availability or security. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Lisibl and its creators are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages that do not arise from a mandatory legal obligation.

15. Changes to Terms

We may change these Terms with reasonable notice when necessary. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate channel, including email or the service where applicable.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by French law, subject to mandatory consumer protections that may apply. Territorial jurisdiction is determined by applicable law; nothing in these Terms removes any court or consumer-protection rights you are legally entitled to.
