Terms of Service

Welcome to Lisibl. Please read these Terms of Service carefully. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Agreement to Terms

By creating an account or using Lisibl, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. The Service

Lisibl is a private family application for preserving childhood memories (photos, videos, voice memos, and notes) pinned to real places on an interactive map. We offer subscription plans with varying storage and feature levels.

3. Subscription Plans & Pricing

  • Lisibl offers three subscription tiers: Seedling (€5.99/month), Growing (€9.99/month), and Heirloom (€15.99/month)
  • Annual plans are available at approximately 20% discount
  • All prices are base EUR amounts and are automatically converted to your local currency at checkout
  • New subscriptions include a 30-day free trial. You will not be charged until the trial period ends.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled

4. Lifetime Offers

We occasionally offer lifetime access passes (Founding Family, Legacy Family). These are one-time purchases that grant permanent access to Lisibl features at the tier level specified at the time of purchase.

5. Gift Cards

Gift cards are one-time purchases that grant the recipient a subscription or credit. Gift cards are non-refundable after redemption.

6. Cancellation & Refunds

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access until then
  • We do not offer partial refunds for unused portions of a billing period
  • If you cancel during a free trial, you will not be charged

7. Free Trial

  • New users receive a 30-day free trial of their chosen plan
  • You may cancel at any time during the trial without being charged
  • After the trial ends, your chosen plan will begin billing automatically

8. Plan Features & Limits

Each tier includes specific limits on storage, monthly memories, video capabilities, viewer slots, co-parent slots, AI features, and more. Current limits are displayed on our pricing page and within the app. We reserve the right to adjust limits with reasonable notice.

9. Family Sharing

  • You may invite family members as viewers (read-only access to your family map) or contributors (can add memories)
  • You may invite a co-parent to share full parental access
  • You control all viewer and contributor access and can revoke it at any time
  • Occasional sharing allows you to create temporary, time-limited links to share selected memories with non-family contacts

10. License & Acceptable Use

Lisibl grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal family use. You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Use the service to store or distribute illegal, abusive, or harmful content
  • Resell or redistribute account access
  • Use automated means to access the service

11. Content Ownership

  • You retain full ownership of all content you upload (photos, videos, voice memos, notes)
  • You grant Lisibl a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for providing the service
  • We do not claim ownership of your content and will never use it for advertising, AI training, or any purpose beyond service delivery

12. Data Export & Portability

All users can export their complete data from account settings at any time, regardless of subscription tier.

13. Account Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time from your settings
  • Upon deletion, all your data (memories, photos, voice memos, account information) is permanently removed
  • We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these Terms

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lisibl and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill.

15. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms with reasonable notice. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of France. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Paris, France.
